Seeing the world and having a career? It’s possible.
I know that for some, the dream is to quit their job and travel the world. But what if you enjoy having a career that doesn’t obviously link with travel? What if you want to be building your future security whilst enjoying the present?
Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a neophyte, a die hard diet coke addict, an INTP, and a feeder. I’m a coeliac who doesn’t believe that ought to limit my tendency to explore, that neither should my metal spine, and that I’m incredibly privileged to be able to travel at all.
I am also risk averse. Maybe you are too? All I know is that while I love to travel, I’m not built for a purely nomadic existence. I nest far too much for that.
So in 2016, having used the year to see as much of the world as possible just using my annual leave, I secured a job transfer that saw my husband and I move to sunny Sydney, Australia in May 2017.
Here is where I’ll be sharing with you the good, the bad and the unspeakably ugly of emigration, and how we still plan to see as much of the world as we can from Sydney.
If you want to see my posts as soon as I publish them, please subscribe via email using the box on the right or add me to your feed reader (I recommend Feedly). You can also find me on all the internet places, links are also on the right.
Lastly and most importantly, please get in touch! Comments and emails make my day, and if you’re local, let’s go for a coffee?*
*NB I actually hate coffee. I know, I know, I’m going to make a terrible Australian.
