After sharing My Dream Airport with you, I thought it was high time to continue the series. I’ve been staying away from home both for work and for holidays, and I’ve had some time to sit and consider my various accommodations. I’ve therefore come up with a list of components for My Dream Hotel Room and thought I’d share them with you…
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have plenty of plug sockets near the bed. While travelling, my phone is my alarm clock but it also needs charging at night. I don’t like getting up and walking across the room to turn off my alarm, despite the fact it’s extremely effective at waking me up.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would also have lots of plugs around the desk.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have a decent work chair, because working on a wobbly stool is miserable.
~ My Dream Hotel Room’s bathroom would have a power shower where there is a good choice of temperatures between boiling and freezing, and which stays constant throughout your shower.
~ My Dream Hotel Room’s bathroom would also have a mirror that doesn’t fog up after the shower.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have towels that are bigger than a postage stamp.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have a hair dryer you don’t have to hold down the little button on for it to work. In fact, the hairdryer would be even better than the one you have at home.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have a mirror with plugs near it, for using aforementioned hair dryer (and maybe straighteners too).
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have a full length mirror somewhere convenient.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have trashy TV just at those moments where you’ve got half an hour to kill.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have super fast free wifi that doesn’t require you to re-log in every five seconds. Thus, if trashy TV is not available exactly when you need it, there’s always Netflix.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have a minibar stocked with Coca Cola Light (it tastes better than Diet Coke, I swear) and a variety of chocolate and sundry gluten free snacks. All items would be free, of course.
~ My Dream Hotel Room wouldn’t have any appliances with bright lights that make the room look like some kind of disco when you turn the lights out, preventing a good night’s sleep.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would provide a clean face cloth for every day of your stay, for those following the Caroline Hirons Skin Cleansing Regime.
~ My Dream Hotel Room wouldn’t have any cushions or decorative throws on the bed. Call me OCD but I don’t like anything that can’t be thoroughly disinfected between guests.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have blackout curtains or shutters.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would be fully soundproofed.
~ My Dream Hotel Room would have fully functioning air conditioning and/or heating, and a window that opens without letting all kinds of noise in.
What would be in your dream hotel room?
