The episodes are completely formulaic, with each house suddenly needing way more work than they first thought, which causes one or both of them to have a freakout about getting a sufficient return on their investment, then things get worse, but ultimately the house is finished (NB they all turn out looking the same, somehow…) and sells for a huge profit. Well, who’d have thought. As I say, I’m addicted and just need to stop before I find myself saying ‘let’s do a nice granite worktop’ and slapping cherry wood stain on everything that moves.
If any of you had to set your alarms for 3am this morning as well, you have my full sympathies. What a shocker.
Still, it’s all for a good cause.
…. days, that is! Today, I’m off to Mallorca for a long weekend. I’m doing 2 days of work stuff and the rest will be solid eating, drinking, and soaking up the sun.
So, if I’m a little MIA in these parts then that’ll be why. I’m sure I’ll be on the ‘gram in the mean time, so come and find me there if you too need some sunshine and cocktails in your life.
In other news, I found a new show on Netflix to watch which I thought would be suitably educational re: our upcoming housing renovations. I’m now hooked on it, even though it’s awful. It’s called Flip or Flop, and follows a couple who are in the business of buying decrepit houses at auction, doing them up, and selling them on for a huge profit.
Do you have any weekending plans? Any awful Netflix addictions? Do share!
