Fuji Instax Wide 210 ¦¦ I bought this camera for S just before we went away to Australia. We had a blast snapping our favourite scenes with it, and my niece was enthralled with the instant photo of her which developed before her eyes, and insisted on carrying it round for the rest of the day. Here’s a small selection of the photos we took with the camera. I love flicking through them and remembering our trip. I will say that the camera is absolutely huge, which I wasn’t expecting when I bought it online. That makes it less convenient to tote around places, eg when travelling, but if you can make it work it’s so much fun! The camera itself cost around £80, which I thought was quite a decent price, and there are other cameras in the range if you want something smaller/cuter. If you’re interested in more details, they can be found on Fuji’s website here.
Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Illuminating Beauty Balm ¦¦ Whilst buying the eyeshadow palette below, the kind sales lady chucked in a sample of this Illuminating Beauty Balm as well. I wasn’t too fussed about it when I saw it on the stand, but I tried it and then I loved it. I’ve been putting this on my face when I need a bit of brightening up, in a non-obvious way. This is non-sparkly, non-shimmery, non-visible, non-weirdly-tanning – it just looks nice.
Old Gold Peppermint ¦¦ I’m totally addicted to this chocolate. Dark chocolate with a peppermint fondant filling = yes please. This also reminds me of evenings spent with my sister chomping into blocks of chocolate straight from the fridge. I only brought a couple of bars back with me which makes me sad, but is probably excellent news for my waistline.
Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Soul ¦¦ I’ve had my eye on this for-ever so I decided to splurge as a post-appraisal treat. My bestie was with me and she totally enabled me – so I’m apportioning a decent amount of the blame her way. This is a super pretty palette with a mix of matte and shimmer shadows in very wearable shades. Just like every other eyeshadow palette I buy. Hmm. Let’s move on?
Too Faced La Crème Lip Cream in Believe ¦¦ I got this last Christmas time and it’s a beautiful subtle pink that works wonderfully in any situation I care to throw at it. I rotated this in to my bag-in-a-bag a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing it non-stop ever since. I love the shade, the scent, the packaging.
Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena and Lavender hand cream ¦¦ I’ve had horribly dry hands recently, so I’ve been taking a tube of hand cream with me anywhere. I just use anything I can get my hands on – this month it’s been this Crabtree & Evelyn one. It’s fine, nothing too special, but it does the job and doesn’t smell too much like old ladies. Result.
All I can say is that apparently gold was the colour for my January!
Merry February everyone,
